As the months on the calendar slowly turn from winter and we begin to dip our toes into the promise of spring, we begin to get new products and refresh all of our stores. Just like a spring cleaning for your own home, we like to keep things fresh at Welcome Home.
In that spirit, we have brought in more products from one of our favorite U.S.- based linen companies, June & December. Named after the months their children were born, founders Katie and Nick Forte, use the beauty and wonder of nature to inspire them. Each hand-drawn illustration, graphic design, and pattern is designed by Katie at her studio in Berkley, Michigan. From the smallest lady bug or the curl of a fern’s leaf, you can’t help but be reminded of the strength and magic of the natural world when looking at June & December products.
Their flour sack towels and napkins are made for everyday use to replace single-use paper products. Each is made with 100% pre-shrunk cotton, naturally biodegradable, and do not shed microplastics. They are screen-printed in small batches using eco-friendly inks. Each piece is machine-washable and bleach-safe. These pieces truly do get better the more you use them; the colors brighten and the cotton becomes softer with each wash.
A steward of the environment, June & December is a proud member of 1% for the Planet, a global organization that serves as an accountability partner for green businesses.
